MEET THE ARTIST - Kiana “V.” Ware

V. paints to remember, to heal, and to transform. Her work is a prayer and a reflection — a dialogue between past and present, between self and spirit. As a biracial, first-generation Black and Filipino artist raised in the South, she carries the colors, rhythms, and contradictions of Atlanta within her brushstrokes. Her acrylics and oils dance with memory: stories of family, resilience, and identity merge with the textured layers of vulnerability and triumph. V.’s practice expands beyond the canvas into murals, digital worlds, and immersive exhibitions — spaces that invite others to feel seen, to breathe, and to heal. She creates as a way to confront her own fears and imperfections, allowing paint to become both mirror and medicine. Each piece is a release, a transmutation — turning heaviness into harmony, shadow into light. When the work is finished, she no longer owns it. It belongs to those who find themselves reflected in its spirit. For V., art is not a destination but a continuous act of becoming — a return to the wonder of the inner child, free, fearless, and endlessly creating.
